Sensations carried by Spinal tracts.

There are three major sensory tracts

1. The posterior column tract
2. The spinothalamic tract
3. The spinocerebellar tract

The spinothalamic tract

This is also called the ‘Lateral Tract’. These carry the following sensations

1. Pain
2. Temperature
3. Crude touch

The Posterior tract

It carries the following sensations

1. Vibration
2. Position
3. Pressure
4. Proprioception
5. Fine touch

The spinocerebellar tract

1. It carries Proprioception
