Starts with S1 and continues through S2

Conditions

  1. Mitral regurgitation
  2. Tricuspid regurgitations
  3. Ventricular septal defect

Late systolic

  1. Mitral valve prolapse
  2. Papillary muscle dysfunction

Diastolic murmurs

Early diastolic

  1. Aortic regurgitation
  2. Pulmonary regurgitation

Mid diastolic

  1. Mitral stenosis
  2. Tricuspid stenosis
  3. Flow murmur in Atrial septal  defect
  4. Flow murmur in Ventricular septal defect

Presystolic or late diastolic

  1. Mitral stenosis

Continuous murmur

  1. Patent ductus arteriosus
  2. Rupture of sinus of Valsalva
  3. Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula
  4. Aortopulmonary window
  5. Coronary arteriovenous fistula
